Eik Zon | Arbor Brewing Company

ABV: 7.0%
IBU: 80
Style: Sour - Other
Actively Produced
Description: A big, floral, citrusy nose with hints of blood orange, brett and oak. This refreshingly sour, light bodied IPA is reminiscent of lemon grass and has a strong oak character carries through to a very dry finish. HISTORY Eik Zon, when translated, is Dutch for “oak sun”, a name that is derived from the aroma and flavors of this limited, barrel aged IPA. A long time flagship, Sacred Cow India Pale Ale, is the base beer for this experimental sour. It is also one of Matt Greff’s original recipes from our Brewpub in Ann Arbor. We inoculated and aged the beer for 12 months, before adding copious amounts of orange peel and aging for another 2 months.
