Description: Mad World was designed to showcase the beautiful confluence of craft beer and craft coffee. We first set out to find a rich and complex blend of barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, and settled on a mix of ales matured for 9 months in Woodford Reserve, Woodford Double Oak, Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill barrels. The resulting base beer blend was thick and creamy, with layers of cocoa, caramel, honey, clove and oak. Next we added Vigilante Coffee's Tin Lizzie Espresso blend, (organic Brazilian, organic Sumatran & natural process Yirgacheffe Ethiopian coffees). A final dollop of fresh vanilla beans served to accentuate the effortless interplay of beer and coffee that is Mad World
