Description: This fruited sour is a bit different from the normal Grist House sours. We start with a dark malt base with a blend of crystal and roasted malts to create an amber color to lay a foundation of caramel and light chocolate flavors. We kettle sour overnight and then ferment the wort with a belgian saison yeast strain to add some fruity ester complexity. The beer is then conditioned on a moderate amount of raspberry, tart cherry, and cranberry that complements the malt and yeast character. The result is a unique blend of flavors reminiscent of dark fruit dipped in a caramel fondue pot that will take you on a ride down funky street!
