Hefeweizen | KC Bier Co.

ABV: 5.2%
IBU: 13
Style: Wheat Beer - Hefeweizen
Actively Produced
Description: Hefeweizen is a pale, hazy, Bavarian-style wheat ale with bready malt flavors from 100% imported German-grown wheat, Pilsner and Vienna malt. Its low bitterness comes from modest amounts of imported Perle hops from Bavaria's famous Hallertau Valley hop-growing region. The most distinct character of Hefeweizen are its fruity banana esters and spicy clove-like phenols, which are derived entirely from our pure Hefeweizen yeast strain from Andechs, a Bavarian monastery brewery. Fun Fact: In German, Hefeweizen means "yeast wheat." Hefe translates to "yeast" in English, and Weizen translates to "wheat." ACCOLADES: 93 rating, The Beer Connoisseur magazine Top 100 Beers of 2018, The Beer Connoisseur magazine 92 rating, Craft Beer & Brewing magazine
