Solaris | Newbridge

ABV: 4.5%
Style: Pale Ale - English
Actively Produced
Description: Brewed with English Maris Otter malted barley, and a combination of English hops and American hops (Target & Amarillo). Our aim was to create a beer to drink on a hot summer’s day in a traditional beer garden. Its first hit is quite a harsh bitterness, but then followed by beautiful fruity mouth feel, and floral aroma. Initially we wanted a name that linked the beer to the sun. Solaris is the Latin word meaning ‘pertaining to the sun’. However there is a double whammy in the name, as Solaris is also the name used by Sun Microsystems for their computer operating system. Coming from an IT background, I thought it was therefore a great name to use.
