Description: A red hued ale brewed using Vienna and Maris Otter pale ale malts. Vienna malt is lightly kilned for a longer time which results in a warm red tone manifesting in beers produced from it. Maris Otter is revered for its “second to none” cask beer brewing credentials and commands a premium over other varieties when used. On the bitterness front, we return to using a combination of the new hop varieties of P08-03 and Slovenian Fuggles to give a moderately bitter and spicy beer with a mellow satisfying after palate. This is a premium strength ale with a premium flavour.
